Maryam presented three papers at SimBuild 2026!

Maryam presented three papers at SimBuild 2026 in Minnesota and won the Best Poster Award for her grid reliability work!

The papers cover EBuild AI, a retrieval-augmented framework for generating simulation-ready urban building datasets, data-driven models for urban energy characterization and UBEM input inference, and an AI-based reliability metric that connects neighborhood building characteristics with electrical grid performance to guide retrofit decisions.

IBPSA-USA presented the Best Poster Award to Rawad El Kontar, Maryam Almaian, Ardelia Clarke, Patrick Kastner, Isa Ferrall-Wolf, Robin Tuttle, and Ryan King for “AI-Based Metric for Building and Grid Reliability Assessment via Input Propagation and Stress Testing” for advancing the building performance simulation field.

This work was developed with Dr. Rawad El Kontar and Dr. Patrick Kastner, with support from the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS).

Congrats, Maryam!
